Let me tell you the story of my t-shirt quilt company. I started sewing 45 years ago at the age of 4. Both of my grandmothers taught my sister and me how to do embroidery and cross stitch. At the time, I am sure we just wanted to go outside and play but today, I am so thankful that they passed on this art form.

Not until the age of 30 was I introduced to sewing on a machine. I can distinctly remember choosing fabrics and a pattern for making my first quilt. I was hooked and found my new passion.

In 2002, my neighbor gave me a pile of his T-shirts from his days at Auburn University and I made my first T-shirt quilt. His wife loved it so she gave me her shirts and I made my second T-shirt quilt. Shortly after that, I began to receive boxes of shirts in the mail from his fraternity brothers and her sorority sisters. T-Shirt Memory Quilts was born!
